Empire Strikes Back: Katyn
Different countries, different faiths, but the modus operandi
of our enemy is the same: they try and encourage old animosities to serve their
new desires. In Poland, they revive old anti-Russian feelings to bring Poland
into anti-Russian front, in Iraq, they revive old Persian-Arab enmity to isolate
Iran. They do it by taking some gruesome historical events out of their context
and repeating them ad nauseam.
It’s good to remember historical events, but it’s even better
to forget them. History is full of horrors, and every nation, every faith, every
political school committed enough crimes to horrify us – unless we forget.
History is a dangerous weapon, and it is doing fine for “Divide et Impera”. We
support the idea of peace and friendship between the nations – against the
Empire and in spite of the Empire’s efforts to usher strife. Poland is a place
where it is especially urgent.
A few days ago we published an article by Eric Walberg where
he optimistically wrote of “the recent electoral upset of the hysterically
anti-Russian prime minister Jaroslav Kaczynski and his Law and Justice Party in
Poland was very much due to sensible Poles coming out in droves (the highest
turnout since the heady days after the Communists lost power), realising his
slavish pro-Americanism — Polish troops in Iraq and free US missile bases at
home — was very, very foolish. Kaczynski's defense minister, Radek Sikorski, had
tried to talk some sense into him, only to be summarily dismissed. The new prime
minister, Donald Tusk of the Civic Platform Party, immediately promoted Sikorski
to foreign minister, announced the US base was on hold and he would have Polish
troops out of Iraq by the end of the year.” End of quote.
However, the joy was short-living: in a sudden U-turn, the
new Polish government accepted the US base and staged a wave of anti-Russian
hysteria. Our friend in Poland, philosopher Marek Glogoczowski, explains the
possible reasons for the change:
The CASA air cargo catastrophe and the “antimissile
shield" in Poland.
by Marek Glogoczowski
It is evident that the anti-Russian propaganda in Poland
reaches new heights. After the publicity campaign for the film “Katyn” (in the
media I find a short information that all soldiers of Polish Army were compelled
to see his film, as the part of their “cultural training”), the construction of
the American “antimissile shield” become once again the propaganda tool, serving
to stir both anti-Russian and anti-European emotions among common people. Only
two weeks ago the newly elected in last September, Polish government was
declaring officially its hardly concealed hostility towards this “shield” as the
USA-owned, dangerous for Polish citizenry, military installation on Polish
territory. And than suddenly, on the February 1st, Polish Minister of Foreign
Affairs, Radek Sikorski (a member of the American Enterprise Institute, by the
way) suddenly changed his mind and inclined, during his visit in Washington, to
all pressures exercised by White House. This American “master of Eastern Europe”
is wishing to establish in Poland not only the (anti)missile base, but also
several subsequent, US Army owned, military bases. This supposedly in order to
protect Poland from Russian hegemonistic drive.
What happened, which changed the mind of Polish government so
rapidly? On January 23rd a big military cargo plane, which was bought only two
years earlier from the Spanish CASA producer, crushed in northern Poland,
killing in this accident 20 high officers of Polish Air Force, including the
chief of the personnel assuring the security of Polish airspace, general
Andrzejewski. The origin of this crush still remains a mystery, supposedly
pilots made a too narrow u-turn during the second attempt of landing in
relatively good weather conditions. This, seriously wounding Polish military
staff accident, professor Ivo Cyprian Pogonowski, an 85 years old,
internationally known historian, living since decades in USA, commented in a
following way, quoting information he found in a book of John Perkins
“Confessions of Economic hit-Man”:
“Every one politician (trying to liberate his country from
“pincers of freedom” imposed by US Department of State) was told: “If you will
be docile, you will be rich, but in case of disobedience you will finish like
Allende in Chile, Arbenz in Guatemala or Lumumba in Congo”. The presidents of
two countries, men whom I respected and thought of as kindred spirits - Jaime
Roldós, president of Ecuador, and Omar Torrijos, president of Panama - both had
just died in fiery crashes. Their deaths were not accidental. They were
assassinated because they opposed that fraternity of corporate, government, and
banking heads whose goal is global empire. We Economic Hit Men failed to bring
Roldós and Torrijos around, and the other type of hit men, the CIA-sanctioned
jackals who were always right behind us, stepped in.” End of Perkins’ quote.
It is of interest to know whether the recent death, in Poznan
Voievodie, of Polish generals, commanders of air forces, was a similar one, for
they were not giving the permission for the construction of “shield” in Poland,
and they did not want to endanger their country with the possibility of Russian
nuclear counter-strikes.”
Pogonowski indeed turned to be a prophet bringing bad news:
only a week after the crash of CASA cargo aircraft, Polish government has
changed its mind concerning the installation of the (surely nuclear) “shield”,
Its installation is planned at the abandoned military airport of Redzikowice,
which is situated only 2 km from Pomeranian Academy of Pedagogy, where I teach,
and only 4 km from the center of city of Slupsk, with its 100 thousand of
citizens.
Of interests are two “small” facts:
1/ The CASA cargo plane crushed only 20 minutes after an
inter-landing at Krzesiny military airport near Poznan, where at present a US
military air base is located.
2/ The article titled “Global Corruption”, in which
Pogonowski enounced such an “interesting” explication of the recent CASA
catastrophe in Poland, has disappeared from Pogonowski”s website
www.pogonowski.com .It happened that I copied earlier the passage translated
into English above, so I repeat Pogonowski”s “miraculously missing” prophecy in
"
With greetings from Pomerania, I ask to dispatch this message
to the wide circle of readers of your website.
Marek G
Joachim Martillo remarked:
Here is the Katyn Massacre Recommendation/Order. The signers
of the massacre order are all reputed to have been members of the Kremlin Jewish
Faction. From what I have read practically everyone up and down the chain of
command in the killings of Polish leaders and intellectuals was Jewish. It takes
a little digging to get the backgrounds, and I have yet to see it published in a
popular journal.
It took 90 years for the NY Times to admit that the killers
of the Czar and his family were Jewish. Probably around 2030 the NY Times will
publish the complete story of the Katyn Massacres including who conceived the
idea and advised Stalin.
Our British reader, Martin Webster wrote about the Katyn
film:
Polish film about Katyn Massacre

The above is the link to a review about a new Polish film
which a Polish friend tells me deals with the massacre by the Soviet Union of
the Polish officer corps -- a crime which for years was blamed on the Germans.
It seems that this film is so good it is up for some kind of
a film industry prize, even an Oscar.
I doubt if any such film will be granted high accolades. The
people who run the movie business may not be too keen on allowing a prize to go
to a film which places the blame for a notorious war crime on the Communists
rather than the Nazis!
And as it happens, the Zionists have just commenced a
propaganda initiative in Poland designed to make the Poles feel co-responsible
with the German Nazis for "the Holocaust".
Recently Jan Thomasz Gross, a Polish Jew who left Poland in
1968 to become a U.S. citizen and a history professor at Princeton University,
has returned to the land of his birth to promote his latest book "Fear:
Anti-Semitism in Poland after Auschwitz".
His technique for securing publicity for his book has been to
stage provocative public meetings in Polish cities at which he accuses the
Polish people in general and the Polish Catholic Church in particular, of
responsibility for massacres of Jews during and after the German occupation.
These meetings caused uproar for, as Time magazine of 23rd
January 2008 [ http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1706315,00.html ]
reported: "......Poland, which lost about 6 million of its citizens in the war
-- half of them Jewish -- prides itself on being the only country in
Nazi-occupied Europe that did not have a collaborator government."
This kind of vilification of the Polish people by Zionist
propagandists has been part of Israeli school curriculum for decades past and it
has clearly inculcated among Israelis a hatred for Poland and its people.
Shamir replied:
You wrote: "The people who run the movie business may not be
too keen on allowing a prize to go to a film which places the blame for a
notorious war crime on the Communists rather than the Nazis!" This is an
archetypal error of the Right. "The people who run the movie business" are fully
siding with the US, they want to eliminate every independent force and cause all
mankind to submit to the will of the US, and by proxy to their will. Russia is
the real enemy for them, as well as China or Iran, Cuba and Venezuela, but they
are first of all enemies of Russia, the militarily strongest one. They want to
cause more hatred between Russians and Poles in order to implant the US missile
stations in Poland and move Nato troops eastwards. This is important real stuff,
while fight with Nazis is a nice entertainment. Nazis were defeated in 1945, and
modern far right is too weak to matter. "The people who run the movie business"
will give this film an Oscar if it will help to undermine Russia's independence.
Note: However, the Oscar was given to The
Counterfeiters, an Austrian film about Holocaust.
Shamir concludes on Katyn:
The British magazine Economist published an
article In denial about “the outrageous falsehood that it was the
Nazis, not the Soviets, who murdered 20,000 captured Polish officers at Katyn in
1940. That Stalin-era lie, enforced at gun-point in post-war Poland, viciously
aggravated the original crime.” The magazine does not remind the readers that
this “outrageous falsehood” was confirmed by Nurnberg Tribunal which consisted
of British and American judges as well – and probably they did not do it “at
gun-point”. The magazine does not remind of dreadful and undeniable war crimes
committed by British and American armies, of Dresden and Hiroshima. And the
Brits and the Americans do not even think to ask forgiveness. When the US
Defence Secretary Cohen was asked whether the US intends to ask forgiveness for
five million killed Vietnamese, he replied brutally: “This is war”.
The Katyn story is promoted to set the Poles against Russians
and to restore le cordon sanitaire around Russia. Our enemies do not care a fig
for the slain Poles. Otherwise, they would speak about tens of thousands of
Poles slaughtered by the ultra-Nationalist Ukrainians. But they keep mum, for
the Bandera followers are allies in their fight against Russia. Indeed, after
1945 these allies of Hitler were supported, armed, and trained by the CIA.
Marek Glogoczowski is right: “If one wants to have a healthy
society, he has to extinguish, not inflame, ancient ethnic and other sores
within it. In order to keep the people of Athens united, the democratic
government of this polis, after a bloody civil war, declared ‘amnesia’: it was
forbidden, under the penalty of death, to recall publicly who had killed whom in
the preceding decades. Today’s Judeo-American paradigm has decided otherwise:
all wounds have to be constantly kept bleeding.”
What actually happened in Katyn? This is far from clear who,
how many and when was shot there. We know that almost four thousand dead bodies
were discovered in the Katyn forest near Smolensk. Some of them were Russians,
others were Poles, some were shot by Russian weapons, and others by the German
guns. There is a whole literature of blame-shifting and denial, much of it in
Russian, Polish, German. This Katyn Massacre was chosen by our enemy. Otherwise,
who would give a damn about a few thousand (out of half a million Polish POWs in
the USSR) soldiers and officers’ fate in the war where millions perished?
It is perfectly possible that as many as four thousand Polish
officers were actually executed by the Soviets as enemies. It is not nice, but
sometimes POWs are shot, at any war. Quite recently Israeli minister Ben Eliezer
was accused of executing hundreds of Egyptian POWs; this accusation was
broadcasted by Israeli TV; but Ben Eliezer’s career did not suffer a bit.
Do not forget that much-loved by Poles Napoleon executed four
thousand POWs, the whole arrison of Jaffa, after they have surrendered. The WWII
was quite unconventional. The Germans killed millions of Russian POWs. The
Americans of General Eisenhower starved to death a million of German POWs, and
they killed on the spot all SS officers, so they had to escape to the Russian or
French occupation zones in order to survive.
It is quite plausible that one percent (4000) of Polish POWs
(about half a million) were actually shot. Józef Czapski wrote that the captive
Polish officers were asked to reply in writing whether they still consider the
USSR – their enemy. Many replied in affirmative and were shot. An interesting
explanation of “suicidal” behavior of Polish officers was found in literature by
the 90+ years old Polish economist Franciszek Rakowski. In a book “Przemiany i
szanse socjalizmu”, published in 2004 in Warszawa , he writes: „ ... The vast
majority of interned officers (except of a small number of communists, which
were released from these camps), hated USSR more than ever, not only due to
their, most frequently bourgeois, provenience, but also they blame it for the
loss of (Poland’s) independence. Moreover they were happy observing the
indolence of USSR in the war with Finland, which was for them the proof that
USSR is a colossus on legs of clay, and for this reason they declined Soviet
propositions ... of creating anti-German legions, which would participate in the
future war with Germany for the liberation of Poland.”
There was much bad blood between the Red Army and the White
Poles: some eighty thousand of the Red Army POWs were killed or died of diseases
or were starved to death in the POW camps of the White Poles after 1920.
One may consider the background. Twenty years before Katyn,
there was a bloody war between the Reds and the Whites, between Russians, Poles,
Ukrainians, and Jews. In 1918 ex-Russian Poland proclaimed its independence and
was recognised by Soviet Russia. But the Polish leaders (first of all, Pilsudski,
a native of Belarus, and a member of minor Polish nobility) were not satisfied
with it. They tried to conquer Ukraine and Belarus, Lithuania, Galicia, Kiev,
Minsk, Vilnius, Lvov and to re-establish the Polish Commonwealth of 18th
century. This romantic plan was realised for a short while – by bloody means.
Ukrainian books tell of repressions, especially in 1930s with its
semi-fascist regime of “sanacja”, of colonization and
discrimination of non-Polish population, of persecution of the Orthodox Church.
1930s caused marked increase of the old hostility between the Ukrainians and the
Poles. When the Polish rule came to its end in September 1939, the Ukrainians of
Galicia dreamed of revenge to their yesterday’s masters. This dream was
materialized by the Volyn Massacre, where the Ukrainian nationalists slaughtered
sixty thousand of ethnic Poles. Decolonization can be a painful process: thus,
the slaves of Haiti massacred all whites, including children and women, when
they regained freedom.
Not only Ukrainians, but the Jews also had nurtured ill feelings towards the
Poles. The Polish troops were quite rough with the Jews during 1920 war. They
made a horrible pogrom in Vilna, massacred four thousand Jews in Tetievo (140 km
from Kiev); they supported Petlyura whose army killed untold thousands of Jews.
The Jews in the commanding positions in the NKVD (Soviet security) and the party
could wish to take revenge upon the Polish officers. A Jewish avenger
assassinated Simon Petlyura. There were many publications in Poland
speaking of active Jewish participation in suppression
of Polish nationalist movement and persecution of the Poles,
including killing of Polish officers and intelligencia, see:
http://www.electronicmuseum.ca/Poland-WW2/ethnic_minorities_occupation/jews_1.html
Joachim Martillo, a Polish-American researcher, wrote: “From what I have read
practically everyone up and down the chain of command in the killings of Polish
leaders and intellectuals was Jewish.” It fits the pattern.
Jan Tomasz Gross’ book Fear speaks of Jewish pogroms in the
post-war Poland; Polish nationalists explained these pogroms as acts of
vengeance for Jewish participation in killing of Polish nationalists. Bear in
mind that the Jews formed majority, or at least plurality in the state security
leadership of Poland, Russia, Lithuania, so they could realise their wish for
revenge. The wish was there: Abba Kovner and his group Avengers poisoned a few
thousands of German POWs. Solomon Morel, a Polish-Jewish state security man,
killed a few thousands German POWs, many of them – with his own hands. When
Polish justice tried to apprehend him he escaped to Israel.
Katyn story is weird: the Russians are called to repent and regret for the deed,
though most probably the vengeful Jews in the Soviet State Security were behind
the shootings in Katyn, while killings of Polish officers in the Ukraine were
certainly done by Ukrainians. Apparently, the Poles should apply for regrets and
compensation to independent Ukraine (where memory of killers of Jews and Poles
is treasured and streets are named after them), to independent Jewish state of
Israel (many POW-murderers escaped there) or at least independent Georgia, where
descendents of Stalin and Beria live. This is not likely to happen, because
Israel, Ukraine and Georgia are the US allies, while Russia is the main
adversary.
I agree with our Polish friend Marek G, with Treanor and Joh
Domingo: it is better to forget some things, using the Greek idea of amnesia:
they had capital punishment cure for those with over-long memory. The enemy
wants them to fight, but it is better for Russians and Poles to be good
neighbours.
